Founder and Pastor of Open Gate, Dr. Mark Roberson, brings forty plus years of experience to his pastoral service for church body of Open Gate. His pastoral career has included churches in Michigan, Delaware, Georgia, and Maryland. Mark is a gifted singer with several recording projects to his credit. His pulpit combined with his unique style of teaching has served to define his pastoral emphasis as Christ centered, biblically grounded, and people oriented.

Mark is adjunct faculty for the Calvary Christian College teaching bible courses and conducting theology and Christian service seminars. His work in the community is marked by extensive involvement in several funeral homes as officiate and counselor.

Mark’s wife, Rose Marie, serves as the worship leader for Open Gate. They have two children Maria and Israel, both live in Tallahassee Florida.

On July 17, 2016, Angel Taylor was installed as the Assistant Pastor at Open Gate Church in Waldorf, MD under Founder and Pastor of Open Gate, Dr. Mark Roberson. Angel Taylor brings over 15 years of Ministerial work to her church and her community where she serves to meet the needs of people.

Angel is employed as a Senior Investigative Analyst in the Office of Investigations, Office of Inspector General, and she is a student in the Doctoral Program at Calvary Christian College.

Angel is married to George Taylor who is an Elder at Open Gate Church.  They live in Waldorf, MD. They have two children; Claudia (Tremell) Jackson who reside in Upper Marlboro, MD. and  Yolandra Taylor, who reside in Vienna Georgia.  They have two grandchildren, Christian and Taylor.

Angel is devoted to encouraging, serving and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She brings to the pulpit a style of preaching that is bold and flavored with compassion. She believes in exercising spiritually, physically, and mentally. She is an avid runner and a raw vegan. Angel loves her family, her friends, and her community.

Treasurer of Open Gate, Stacy Carruth, brings 17 years’ experience in Accounting as a DoD Employee of the Comptroller. My background in finance has given me a broad range of experience from administrative functions, audio visual functions, contract development and execution and various financial management programs.

At the age of 8, Stacy accepted Christ as her Lord & Savior during Sunday School in LaPlata, MD. From a young age, Stacy has always been involved in the church and helping others from babysitting to singing in the youth choir to playing on the church softball team to running the projector for praise and worship.

Stacy loves to cook & bake and she is the mother of Mayson.

Administrative Assistant of Open Gate, Chandra Hall, brings 18 years in Retail and as a Government contractor in Financial & Program Analysis. My career has given me extensive customer service experience, administrative & financial oversight, employee development, proficient in financial management, business process improvements, analyzing programmatic information.

Chandra accepted Christ as her Savior at a bible camp in Indianapolis, Indiana at the age of 9. She has served most of her life in the church beginning as a teenager, displaying worship songs during service and managing the VHS & tape library. As a young mother working in the nursery and teaching in youth department; decorated the sanctuary for multiple years of Vacation Bible Schools; sang in the choir; and coached & played church softball. Continuously growing in the church and service to Christ and our Open Gate family for the last five years.

Chandra is the mother of Brittany, Samantha, and Jason; and Grandmother to Kamdyn & Kinsley.

Rose Marie has served in worship leadership in Michigan, Florida, Georgia, and Canada. She has served in several capacities of music ministry among them; Choir director, praise leader, keyboard artist, and soloist. As the minister of music for the Riverview Church of God, Riverview Michigan, she founded and directed the “Voices of Victory” choir for 23 years. The choir boasted a membership of 75 + and toured to several states for conferences, camp meetings, and praise gatherings. Rose Marie conducted numerous music workshops and seminars and served as a member of the State Music Board for the Church of God in Michigan. Rose Marie brings more than 50 years of experience and excellence to the worship of the  Open Gate Church.
