Mission Statement

Our mission is to fulfill the mandate of Christ to the church, proclaiming the gospel to the unbeliever, teaching God’s word to the believer, nurturing the body of Christ, and living the law of Christ before men.

Called

“Again Jesus said: Peace be with you! As the Father has sent me, I am sending you.” John 20:21 NIV

We have been sent into the world, by Christ Jesus, to do the will of the Father through the power of the Holy Spirit, according to His holy word.

 Commissioned

“Then Jesus came to them and said, all authority in heaven and earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20 NIV

We have been given authority, in Christ Jesus, to make disciples, baptize, teach his commandments, equipping the body to be faithful until the day of his glorious return.

Chosen

“But you are chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people belonging to God, that you may declare the praises of Him who brought you out of darkness into His wonderful light.”

1 Peter 2:9 NIV

We have been instructed by the Apostle to live as a chosen, anointed, and united people that belong particularly to God, giving praise to God for his faithfulness and power, for he has brought us out of darkness into the light of his glorious grace. Love, forgiveness, generosity, peace, and Christ like humility are the aspirations of our personal and communal conduct. We will strive to minister to the whole man to bring glory to God and honor to the name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit.

The church is significant because Christ is the head of the church. We have been designed by God and anointed by God to be a part of a covenant relationship with God. The church is significant because we are chosen, therefore, what we do is significant.
